Ballet & Bubbles 2025 Recap

That’s a wrap on Ballet & Bubbles 2025!

Last Saturday, we welcomed guests into the Jersey City Ballet studio for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience. The evening offered an intimate glimpse into the process of bringing ballet to life, allowing attendees to observe an open company rehearsal in the heart of our creative space.

With beverages kindly provided by our friends at Thirsty Quaker, guests settled in for a look beyond the curtain. Led by Artistic Director Judith Palacio, Ballet Master Simon Kazantsev, and Board President Laurel Mangini, the company dancers worked on excerpts from our upcoming repertoire.

At Jersey City Ballet, we believe in making ballet accessible to all and using the power of dance to connect people across our community. As one attendee shared, “This is a very engaging event. It makes me feel as if I’m part of the company. It brings realness to ballet.” Another guest added, “It’s so cool to see the dancers' process, from the beginning to the final performance. It’s like seeing the cake before it’s baked.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our talented dancers, staff, Executive Board, volunteers, and The Thirsty Quaker for all of their efforts.

We hope that those who attended enjoyed getting a glimpse of what’s to come. If you weren’t able to join us, but would like to support Jersey City Ballet and our mission, you can donate via our website: jerseycityballet.org/donate.
