About the Ballet: An Immigration Story – A Ballet in Four Parts, is a new short contemporary ballet created by immigration attorney and author Sonya Cole, and choreographed by Natasha Del’Elmo. Set to Metamorphosis 2 by Philip Glass, the seven-minute work is based on the true story of the Berenfeld family, whose patriarch played a quiet but pivotal role in helping Jewish families escape the Soviet Union during the Refusenik era.

The performance will be followed by a talk back with the creator, ,choreographer and dancers.
