Adult Class Descriptions
Absolute Beginner Ballet
Get on you leg and dance! For the student with little to no ballet training.
Beginner Ballet I
For the adult student with some knowledge of Ballet. This barre is based on strength-building exercises designed to get you on your legs. Center work includes simple adagio and turn practices. Exercises are done facing the mirror and with one hand on the barre. Students should be comfortable executing basic linking steps across the floor. center work and turn practices. This class is not designed for the absolute beginner—a good prerequisite for Beginner Ballet ll.
Beginner Ballet II
For the student familiar with Ballet vocabulary and comfortable working with one hand on the barre and in the center. This includes barre work , center work, across the floor combinations and turn practices. A good prerequisite for those wanting to join the Advanced Beginner level.
Advanced Beginner Ballet
This well-constructed class in the style of Vaganova includes a challenging barre with a focus on correct placement and center combination across the floor. Adult students should be comfortable executing turns, adagio, and allegro steps.
Ballet Workout
Ballet Workout is a ballet inspired barre workout for everyone. Incorporating light weights, pilates core work and barre, it is good for all levels of fitness. No ballet experience required.
Ballet Workout ll
Ballet Workout ll is a half hour basic ballet barre followed by light weights, pilates core work and barre, it is good for all levels of fitness.
Pre-Pointe/Beginner Pointe
(Placement/Previous Experience Recommended)
For adult dancers with a foundational understanding of ballet who are ready to take their training to the next level by learning the basics of pointe work.
